Fury Productions is completing financing of its first feature film documentary Machete Maidens Unleashed which will open at the Melbourne International Film Festival and be broadcast on ABC1. Bolam Legal are the production lawyers for this project as well the earlier broadcast documentaries of Fury Productions including Fairweather Man (ABC1), The Glamour Game (SBS1), World Champion Santa (ABC1) as well as the epic Curse of the Gothic Symphony.
Girl Clock Films has released its feature comedy, Girl Clock. Girl Clock was filmed in Brisbane and was runner up in DigiSpaa in 2009. Bolam Legal were the production lawyers for the film.
Blueseas Films has completed and in March 2010 is opening the theatrical release of its feature documentary, Going Vertical. Going Vertical maps the Shortboard revolution and was directed by David Bradbury and produced by Robert Raymond. Bolam Legal acted for Blueseas Films on this project as well as other of its feature projects in development.
KCDC and Bunker Productions are completing production of their feature, Jucy, and have attracted Odin's Eye to represent the film worldwide. Jucy was funded by Screen Queensland and private investment and is the second feature for Bunker Productions which produced the popular All My Friends Are Leaving Brisbane directed by Louise Alston. Before establishing KCDC, Kelly Chapman successfully produced online spin-offs for Lost and Spooks at Hoodlum Entertainment. Bolam Legal is pleased to have acted as the production lawyers for Jucy as well as All My Friends Are Leaving Brisbane.
Glenn Owen Dodds production team (writer - Trent Dalton, diirector - Frazer Bailey and producer - Bec Dakin) are celebrating winning the International Prix Canal+ award at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. The win at the prestigious French festival will result in the film being broadcast in France and Spain. Bolam Legal acted as the production lawyers for the film.
Carbon Media is a multi-media production company, based in Brisbane. Carbon produces television commercials, documentaries, children’s programs, coverage and live streaming of music and sporting events, corporate videos, interactive websites and multi-media communications strategies. Carbon produced the highly acclaimed multi-platform children’s game show Letterbox, which was sold to ABC3 and the Australia Network in 2009. Carbon also produced the documentary, From the Ashes, which was broadcast on ABC1 in 2010. Bolam Legal has acted for Carbon Media since 2008.
The Secret of Moonacre, an international co-production directed by Gabor Csupo was theatrically released in the United Kingdom in 2009. The film starred Dakota Blue Richards, Tim Curry, Natascha McElhone and Loan Gruffudd. Bolam Legal acted for Australian producers, Forgan-Smith International (Australia) Pty Ltd.
